Reboots have been all the rage as of late. Today, one of the latest doses of new-age nostalgia was served via the first trailer for the new Jay and Silent Bob movie.

Along with the upcoming It: Chapter Two and a myriad of live-action Disney remakes, the revival of Kevin Smith’s classic duo rounds out an interesting mix of revivals coming out this year.

The trailer shows Smith reprising his role as Silent Bob alongside the original Jay, Jason Mewes. With Comic-Con engulfing social media feeds this weekend, it was only fitting that fans got their first glimpse at 2019’s take on the cult classic.

A few new characters were revealed in the trailer, including Jay’s teenage daughter. However, we’ll also see a handful of familiar faces return for the fresh sequel.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are both seen returning to the series in the trailer, staying true to Smith’s promise of a cast filled with comic book favorites. In a prior interview with Entertainment Weekly, Smith revealed actors with both Marvel and DC ties will make appearances.

While he wouldn’t name the “three different Batmans in the movie,” during the interview, Affleck and Val Kilmer‘s spots in the trailer show two of the three dark knights. Smith also mentioned Chris Hemsworth hung up his hammer for a day to join the filming.

“Chris Hemsworth made time during Avengers: Endgame press to come out and shoot with us for a day,” he says. “It was pretty amazing, I mean, the dude’s legit funny. So, we’ve got an Avenger in the movie! It’s a comic book-friendly cast, that’s for sure.”
